What Have I Won This Year?

I have won a lot of stuff this year from the radio call in contests and listener rewards programs online! I added up what I think the values were and it is about $3600 worth of prizes! I have not had to pay for a vacation, or entertainment all year!! I have stayed plenty busy with lots of fun things to do!! Just take a look at the list! And just so you all know - you can only win from any single radio station ONCE EVERY 30 DAYS - so you will notice I keep track of what station I win from. Once I win from one station I switch to a different station.

Many people ask how I do it. It is easy work - but it is work. I listen to about 8 different local radio stations, always flipping the dial. I wake up thinking about contests and I go to bed thinking about winning. I put A LOT of energy into winning and it is that constant positive energy focused on winning that makes it a reality. I believe it will happen and I take active steps to make it so. If you have the time and the mental energy, as well as a determined attitude - you can win too! I mentioned determination - this is the MOST IMPORTANT part. If you don't win, you cannot get discouraged. You have to persevere! You have to keep trying, keep participating. Sometimes several months will go by with out a win, but I don't give up and eventually you will win!

And YES, I do have to pay taxes on the winnings! If you have won anything worth more than $600 you will receive a 1099 for misc income in the mail.

A few other tips: I tag team many contests. Meaning I have friends and family who are equally interested in winning and we all dial using as many phones as are available. We text each other alerts to contests. We post links and answers to help each other out. I text my family and friends telling them exactly when to dial so they can participate even if they are not listening to the radio, and I have won many times doing this! My boyfriend just won an iPad2 after I told him to dial - he wasn't even listening to the radio!

If I know ahead of time the approximate time of the contest I will start dialing early, even before they announce the contest. I do this and have been caller 1, 2, 3 etc... this is because there is a radio delay, so they may clear the lines and then make the announcement, so many times I am already caller 1 or 2 even before the contests is announced!

Every DJ is different, some make the contests announcement and wait a few seconds before they start answering. If you listen regularly and participate a lot you will get to know the habits of the DJ's. Depending on the DJ/station, I sometimes will pause 1-2 seconds before I start dialing, hoping to get in with the second round of calls - I assume the radio station has 3 or 4 lines, and I may need to be caller 8 o 9 or 10 so I will try to time the calls. Sometimes I speak to myself as I dial and wait for the line to ring ... I repeat "you are caller 1, please try again." As I dial and listen I am expecting the line to ring. Again it is all about the energy you put into the contest that will make you successful!

And one last tip: BE HAPPY FOR THOSE THAT DO WIN! A positive attitude gets you EVERYWHERE! Your turn will come!
